I am in soooooo much pain at the moment. I watching The Matrix Revolutions from my Ultimate Matrix Collection box set that I got for Christmas (thanks Mum & Dad!) and doing the ironing at the same time. I have no idea why but I started getting twinges in my lower back again and this morning I woke up in agony.

I’ve still dragged my sorry broken body into work today, but I am not a happy bunny.

Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later. What started out as a light trim for my goatee this weekend, turned into a hatchet job and this morning I finally conceeded defeat.

The beard has gone.

I feel a bit chilly and very strange. There is a younger looking but chubbier individual staring back at me from the mirror which is kinda disconcering, but I guess I will get used to it as a cannot be bothered (never say never) to grow it back now until the Autumn as there is nothing worse than shaving it off during the summer and having a red sun-kissed face except for a bit white patch at the bottom.

Well, Happy Valentine’s Day to anyone reading this. I got a card from the wife (ahhhh!) and the following snippet via e-mail from someone else…..

The wife and I have just spent the last few minutes laughing until it hurts to two extremely funny flash movies with a strong politcal message.

Vote Blair! is essentially a call to arms for all those who haven’t yet cottoned onto the fact that Tony is taking New Labour into Bush Cronyism and forgetting the values of the Labour party in the first place.
London Underground is an excellent take on The Jam’s hit and well worth watching if - like me - you commute into the City for work.
